Art work.
I grew up drawing at my mother’s side, stepped away from the making through school, and eventually hit a wall where the hunger to make things demanded its due. Finding my calling in paint and sculpture at the University of Arizona and later sketching architecture and figures across Europe cemented my creative approach. It was during these formative college years that Domestic Surrealism became fundamental to my vision. I paint with passion, bold brushstrokes, and thick oil paint. Every stroke is applied to the canvas with energy and at an accelerated pace, capturing the velocity of the process. My art is not passive it is an emotional, intellectual, and physical sample of my life.
Domestic Surrealism depicts the cultural, political, architectural, and human nature of life, swapping subject matter to create an experience that is familiar yet fresh. It is an intentional disruption of the everyday.
Whether leading campaigns as an advertising creative director or working in my studio in Austin, that foundation remains unchanged. I translate lived experience into a visual language designed to let people into my work.
